What I’ve Learned in 1 Month of Blogging…

Nancy & GlennThis new endeavor of mine has sparked many different emotions over the course of one month. Exhilaration, frustration, anxiety, enjoyment, confusion and pride amongst them. Plus, I have learned many new things as I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new.

Things I’ve learned in no particular order:
•I have a lot to learn
•The blogging community is a friendly and supportive community
•Followers and “likes” really do give me inspiration and a “keep at it” attitude
•I forgot how much I enjoy putting my thoughts to “paper”
•My friends/family are a supportive group
•My kitchen has horrible lighting…really horrible
•Sometimes my dinner gets cold in the process of taking photos
•My kitchen creativity has gotten a jolt of inspiration
•Typing a post can be difficult with a dog on my lap
•I gain self confidence daily
•Sometimes the most delicious food doesn’t translate well in photos
•I’m more tech savvy than I thought
•I prefer blogging over cleaning and laundry
•Glenn only uses the desk when I want to use the desk
•I have “stat checking” OCD
•I adore sharing my love affair with food

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog. I came here to say that and laughed when I read about poor lighting and cold dinners. Because my home gets little “good” light, many of my photos are taken outdoors, which means in Winter I can go for more than a few nights without a hot meal. 🙂
