An Embarrassment of Riches, Part 1 {aka: Award Season Continues}

I’ve awoken the last few days with messages of award nominations. Dragon’s Loyalty [two more times], The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers, The Sunshine Award [number 3], The Beautiful Bloggers Award and The Versatile Blogger Award. Whew…I’m overwhelmed with gratitude! Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the bloggers who have bestowed these nominations upon me and feasting with friends.

celebrationI’m also a little overwhelmed in how to handle all of these rules of acceptance. The best part of the award process is learning a little bit more about each of the bloggers through their Q and A responses, or through the facts they supply. The toughest part is being the one following all of those rules. Quite a quandary! I’m trying to figure out a way to show my gratitude by abiding by the rules, yet be time efficient too. πŸ™‚ While I sort all of this out, here are the great bloggers and their sites who so graciously nominated me.

The wonderful Arlene, of Arl’s World nominated me for both the “Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award and The Dragon’s Loyalty Award. Arl’s World is “A place where she shares her experiments in life – places, recipes, dating, photography, DIY and whatever else life brings.” Stepping into Arl’s World, you’ll discover she took part in the April A-Z challenge for April, photos from travels [care to “go” to the Virgin Islands anyone?], yummy foods and more! You never know where her next post will take you. Stop over today, to witness the happenings in Arl’s World. Thank you so, so much Arlene for both nominations.

imagesIn addition, I received a nomination from the beautiful Jhuls of The Not So Creative Cook, for the Sunshine Award. The Not so Creative Cook is, in my opinion, not quite true! Jhuls is indeed a very creative cook. She started her blog when she was a “new” cook, hence the title. Now, however, her skills are surpassing my own. Jhuls always has eggs in her kitchen, loves green tea and seems to be a foodie by heart. You probably won’t catch her growing her own foods though, as “I cannot grow a plant”…her words, not mine! If you haven’t met Jhuls, it’s time to pop on over to her site and check it out. Thank you Jhuls for bringing “Sunshine” into my day!

Next up is the Beautiful Blogger Award from skdarvesh at Aromas and Flavours from my Kitchen. I love her tag-line, “Home is where the hearth is”. Aromas and Flavours from my Kitchen shares recipes and lovely stories to accompany them. One of my favorite posts was the princess cake she and her daughter baked together. It shares the joy of one generation teaching the next…lovely. Click on over to her site to view everything from Mango Cheesecake to Yummy Roast Chicken…you’re guaranteed to find something you like! Many thanks to skdarvesh for my Beautiful Blogger Award Nomination!

VersatileBloggerThe most recent nominations I received, were both from DM at DetoxMama. DM graciously nominated me for the Versatile Blogger award and Dragon Loyalty Award. She has a great tagline that sums up her site: “A journey in non-processed, non-GMO, organic, gluten and dairy free living. Because food is medicine.” DetoxMama offers a variety of recipes that are healing, healthy and delicious. One day she may offer Bone Broth, and the next Fried Rice with Crispy Chicken or Lemon Tartlets. If you’re not familiar with her site, it’s time for a visit…you find just may find a gluten free, paleo or vegan option to implement into your own diet. Thank you very much, DM, for the two nominations you so graciously forwarded to me.
